Field Information

Where do we practice and play?

Shepherdstown Fields (Morgan's Grove Park)	Charles Town Fields (Edge Hill Cemetery)
The Shepherdstown fields are used for the fall season game days. Morgan's Grove is not a county park, but is actually a private park that is currently operated by Jefferson County Parks & Rec. JCYSL leases, (actually pays for), the park to be used by our league. During these lease times, weekday evenings from 5:00-8:00, and Fall Saturday game days from 8:00-5:00, the park is under JCYSL guidelines. The park has been declared an AYSO Kids Zone during these times. Also, please help us take care of the park by properly disposing of all trash that is generated while enjoying the park.	The Charles Town fields are used for the spring season game days. The Charles Town fields are part of the Edge Hill Cemetery JCYSL pays a monthly fee for use. During these times, weekday evenings from 5:00-8:00, and Spring Saturday game days from 8:00-5:00, the fields are under JCYSL guidelines. The fields have been declared an AYSO Kids Zone during these times. Also, please help us take care of the fields by properly disposing of all trash that is generated while enjoying the fields.

Field Safety

Goals must be anchored for practice and play!
- Check goals before every practice and game
- Secure goals if improperly anchored
  - Tools will be in the sheds
Be on the look out for holes and rocks
Remove all trash after practices and games!
Report issues to Field and Safety Directors

What to do on game day?

Set-up
- The first teams playing at a field are responsible for:
  - Placing Corner Flags (In the Shed)
    - U-6 = No Corner Flags
  - U-6 = Set-up Pop-Up Goals (In the Shed)
Every Game
- Check that the goals are anchored
- Is the field safe? (Dangerous holes or hazard material
  i.e. rocks, trash, tree limbs)
- Remove your teams trash from the fields
- Report issues to the Field and Safety Directors
Tear-down
- The last teams playing at a field are responsible for:
  - Removing Corner Flags (Take to the shed)
  - U-6 Remove Pop-up Goals (Take to the shed)
